This new film, closer to King’s original, has Glen Powell as its hero, Ben Richards. While he’s a movie star, Powell doesn’t feel like a star a la Schwarzenegger – he has a more everyman quality about him. This film has more of a lived-in feel and a grittier tone than its predecessor, closer to our world.
