National Timber Group England Ltd, which is based in Bramall Lane, Sheffield, has today posted a notice of intention to appoint an administrator.
The timber distribution and processing group – the England-based division of National Timber Group – has dozens of sites across the country with brands including Arnold Laver, National Timber Systems, SV Timber and NORclad.
Its last full accounts made up to 31 December 2023 report a turnover of more than £196m, a pre-tax loss of £6.3m and a headcount of more than 1,000.
National Timber Group England’s origins date back to 1920 when it was founded in Sheffield by Arnold Laver. Today its customers include joiners, housebuilders, and contractors. It is also a supplier of large-scale infrastructure projects.
The group is a subsidiary of parent company National Timber Group Midco Ltd, which has also filed a notice of intent to appoint an administrator.
