Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland opens its gates tomorrow, marking the official start of London’s festive season with a fresh 2025 map and a host of new attractions. The UK’s largest Christmas event will run from 14 November 2025 to 1 January 2026 , offering more than 150 rides, shows and festive experiences.
This year’s revamped 2025 map has been redesigned to make exploring easier, with clearly defined themed zones for families, thrill-seekers and foodies. Santa Land has expanded across a larger section of the park, while a brand-new Luminarie Lane now serves as a glittering gateway to the markets and entertainment areas.
Among the biggest additions for 2025 is the Mystical, Mythical Fantasy World inside the Magical Ice Kingdom . The icy walk-through features 500 tonnes of sculpted ice and snow, taking visitors through the Four Realms of Earth, Fire, Air and Water. Expect giant trolls, a five-metre-high griffin and temperatures of –10°C.
Families can also look forward to an overhauled Santa Land , now home to London’s largest free Santa’s Grotto and a new Elves Workshop where children can get hands-on with festive crafts. Nearby, the Jingle Bell Bistro debuts as the world’s first street food market designed just for kids, serving mini-sized versions of family favourites.
Food lovers will find a new twist on fondue at Le Chalet , returning for its third year in partnership with Morty & Bob’s . Their reimagined “FUNdue” menu includes tater tots, pigs in blankets and flat iron steak skewers for dipping.
New for this year, a buzzing Après-Ski Village joins the map, complete with bratwurst stands, DJs and themed bars for a lively alpine atmosphere. Visitors can also stop by Bar Ice , where everything from the walls to the glasses is made of ice.
Regulars will be glad to see the return of the Giant Wheel , Real Ice Slide and the UK’s largest open-air Ice Rink , now presented by O2 Priority. The popular circus shows are also back, with Zippos Christmas Circus unveiling a brand-new family show and Cirque Berserk returning with its exclusive, high-energy performance “Ignite.”
Winter Wonderland has also launched four new Packages for 2025, allowing visitors to tailor their day with added extras such as ride credits, fast-track upgrades and food discounts.
Tickets are free during off-peak times and cost up to £7.50 during peak periods. Entry fees are waived for anyone spending £25 or more in advance online.
