If you had Christmas plans at EPCOT this year, you’re going to want to hear about a change happening with EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays!
Festival of the Holidays (2024)
The Festival of the Holidays is just around the corner, as it begins on November 28th. The festival is filled with all kinds of food, beverages, holiday stories, and of course, the Candlelight Processional! Well, Disney just shared some major news around the beloved Candelight Processional.
EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays is one of EPCOT’s most beautiful festivals, and the Candlelight Processional is a big part of that. It’s a performance featuring a mass choir of Cast Members and community singers, the Voices of Liberty, a 50-piece orchestra, and a celebrity narrator sharing the Christmas story.

The fun part about seeing the list of celebrities who will be narrating the show is picking out which celeb you want to see live! Once the list gets dropped, we like to pick our celebrity and book our day right away. Well, if you were looking to see one celebrity in particular, you’re going to need to change your plans.
Candlelight Processional
Disney just announced that Jennifer Garner will no longer be doing the Candlelight Processional this year. She was originally supposed to be narrating the show on December 3rd and 4th.

Instead, Jennifer Garner will be replaced by Susan Egan, who will be taking those December 3rd and 4th dates. You may recognize Susan Egan, as she voiced Megara in Disney’s animated classic, Hercules.

We’re excited to see Susan Egan, but it is tough to see that Jennifer Garner won’t be at EPCOT this holiday season. Lots of us were excited and planning to see her this year. Susan Egan will now be joining a long list of stars — take a look:

- December 16th-17th – Lauren Daigle (NEW)
- December 18th-19th – Gary Sinise
- December 20th-22th – Brendan Fraser
- December 23th-24th – Luis Fonsi
- December 25th-26th – Joel Smallbone (NEW)
- December 27th-28th – Brie Larson (NEW)
- December 29th-30th – Sheryl Lee Ralph (NEW)
Showtimes will be at 5 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:15 PM EST nightly at the America Gardens Theatre at the American Pavilion.
