McDonald’s has partnered up with Disney to promote one of the most anticipated animated sequels of the year.
The fast-food giant has new Happy Meal toys depicting the lovable anthropomorphic characters in “Zootopia 2” out now, a McDonald’s press release said.
“Beginning Nov. 4 for a limited time, McDonald’s fans can dive into the vibrant world of Zootopia and explore the unique backgrounds of beloved characters like Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, Flash and even some new faces from Disney’s “Zootopia 2,” which hits theaters Nov. 26,” the press release said.
The first film, “Zootopia,” followed the unlikely rabbit-fox duo of Officer Judy Hopps and con artist Nick Wilde as they sought to uncover the mystery behind a series of animal abductions. This upcoming film covers Hopps and Wilde’s newest escapade as a pair of detectives.
Here’s what you need to know about these new Happy Meal toys.
Zootopia 2 Happy Meal toys
These Happy Meal toys are only available for a limited time, the press release said.
“Discover one of eight different character toys in your happy meal, each showcasing exciting lore and memorable moments from Zootopia’s lively neighborhoods,” the McDonald’s release said.
Here are each of the characters depicted in this line of toys.
- Officer Judy Hopps — This humble daughter of rabbit farmers is featured in two Happy Meal toys, with one of her riding on what looks to be a small boat and another with her holding a turquoise fish.
- Officer Nick Wilde — This trickster-turned-police fox is featured in two Happy Meal toys, one where he seems to be surfing on a painting of some kind or another object and one where he is hiding under a dinner cart.
- Gary De’Snake — A new character to the ‘Zootopia’ canon, De’Snake is a blue snake featured in one toy. He is the catalyst for the narrative of ‘Zootopia 2,’ an animal Hopps and Wilde are ordered to track down and whom they reluctantly assist despite their orders.
- Flash Slothmore — This sloth returns from the first movie and is shown sitting in an office chair in his Happy Meal toy.
- Nibbles Maplestick — Nibbles Maplestick is a new character introduced in the upcoming ‘Zootopia 2.’ She is a folksy beaver wearing a pink shirt and holding a lantern in her Happy Meal toy. She acts as a helpful guide to the Wilde-Hopps team.
- Pawbert Lynxley — Pawbert Lynxley is a grey-haired lynx who appears to be riding a sled with his hands up in his Happy Meal toy. He appears to be a member of a rich and influential family in the world of Zootopia.
