Flood Recovery Update. President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that the cleaning phase is now complete in the five states affected by the extreme rains of Oct. 9, 2025: Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, San Luis Potosi, and Queretaro. She also stated that the reconstruction of affected homes will begin in two weeks.
Minister of Well-Being Ariadna Montiel detailed that the response effort involved a total investment of MX$7.4 billion (US$405 million). She reported that 960 brigades, comprising 4,804 personnel, were deployed to the area. These teams conducted a census in 3,254 localities, registering 104,417 affected homes, which included 20,486 indigenous residents.
Right-Wing Parties May Be Financing Gen Z Protests. The federal government presented an analysis regarding the Gen Z march scheduled for Nov. 15, 2025, at Palacio Nacional. Miguel Elorza, Coordinator, Infodemia Mx, delivered the analysis during the morning press conference. The report claims the mobilization, which is presented as being about social discontent, is promoted by right-wing political parties, business leaders like Ricardo Salinas Pliego, and has links to the international right.
President Sheinbaum warned young people not to be manipulated and to investigate the organizers. She also stated that at least MX$90 million has been spent on bots to promote a violent movement.
