Big Brother viewers have been left in stitches by Richard’s cutting remarks following Caroline’s departure, with many declaring him their outright favourite to win.
With the Big Brother 2025 finale rapidly approaching, just one contestant will claim victory and walk away with a substantial cash prize. As personalities continue to collide, the atmosphere grows increasingly tense as the conclusion nears.
On Friday evening, both Caroline and Nancy departed the house during the programme’s second double elimination, which followed housemate Sam’s shock back-door exit just days earlier. Now, ITV2 viewers are weighing in on who they think could be crowned this year’s champion.

Tonight’s episode (November 9) showed the remaining contestants dealing with the aftermath of Friday’s live elimination. It was Richard’s apparently ruthless reaction that sparked widespread discussion amongst audiences.
During a Diary Room conversation with Big Brother, Richard was questioned about whether he was missing Caroline. He responded: “Deeply. I could hear violins playing as I sobbed myself to sleep, and the pillow was steeped with my tears,” reports OK!.
He continued, “I wondered how on earth I’m going to manage when I wake up in the morning and she’s not there on the other side of the room to throw her barbed comments in my direction.
“And I woke up this morning and I looked across at the empty bed and I thought Yes.”
Richard subsequently chuckled at his own remarks, seemingly pleased with the eviction outcome.
Flooding X with reactions, viewers claimed they were “screaming” at the contestant’s response. One viewer posted: “I’ve seen enough. Richard has to win.”
Another viewer commented: “I knew Richard was a winner from the moment i saw his VT Maybe i have a boring sense of humour but this man has me howling everytime hes in the diary room.”

The ongoing tension between Richard and Caroline began when the pair first met, following Richard’s delayed arrival at the house. Caroline has been spotted making numerous digs at him, never letting go of the fact that Richard ‘pinched’ her eyeball.
Richard, however, has characterised their dynamic as “pantomime-like”. Yet during her departure interview, Caroline stood firm in her view that she found Richard “boring”, repeating the word several times, leaving presenters Will and AJ uncertain whether she genuinely meant it.
