RTÉ launches The Late Late Toy Show’s official trailer
RTÉ had unveiled the trailer for this year’s Late Late Toy Show, and Patrick Kielty and co. look set to blast off into space for the beloved annual Christmas episode.
The trailer sees Kielty head to “Mission Control”, where a team of Toy Show astronauts are on hand to spread festive cheer all around the world, “from Cork to Sydney and from Carlow to Mars”.
The 60-second clip will be shown on TV for the first time during Friday night’s Six One news.
It has also been announced that, for the first time, audio description will be available live during the Toy Show, ensuring it is more accessible to a wider audience.
The audio description will provide additional commentary for blind or vision impaired viewers, giving them a verbal description of what is happening on screen.
Live Irish Sign Language (ISL) interpretation will also be made available on the RTÉ News Channel and the RTÉ Player.
The Late Late Toy Show will air on Friday, December 5 at 9.35pm on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player, and be repeated on RTÉ One on Sunday, December 7 at 3.10pm with audio description.
