Niamh Cullen’s husband Jamie was diagnosed with cancer just weeks after their wedding

Niamh Cullen has shared the news of her husband Jamie’s cancer diagnosis.
The influencer and her long-time love tied the knot one year ago, and Jamie became seriously ill on day three of their wedding.
Two weeks before Christmas, he underwent surgery where a cancerous tumour was discovered.
Taking to Instagram to pay tribute to her husband one year on from their wedding day, Niamh shared with followers what the couple have been going through.
Sharing a snap of the pair on their special day, she wrote: “What was meant to be a minimoon in Rome turned into ten days in hospital. We returned home where Jamle had some scans and conversations about next steps.
“Just two weeks before Christmas, Jamie underwent major surgery where doctors discovered a cancerous tumor.
“Our world shattered in an instant, but we stayed strong. Jamie bravely faced 10 rounds of chemotherapy. There were ups and downs along the way, but nothing could have prepared us for what followed after his 10th session. He was rushed into hospital by ambulance, where he developed pneumonia that turned sepsis, just hours after his chemotherapy. It was scary and really not good.
Not long after, he was rushed again to hospital with unbearable pain. We were given the devastating news the cancer had returned.
“My world feels broken, my blood still runs cold, but i know this my husband is a fighter. We will not give up.”
In the caption, she wrote a heartfelt tribute to her husband’s strength and resilience.
“I don’t think I’ll ever be able to articulate Jamie’s strength throughout this entire journey. He never ceases to amaze me with his incredible positive outlook and mindset, even in the darkest moments,” Niamh wrote. “It’s been unimaginably tough seeing the person you love suffer and to feel so helpless. I get these waves of guilt daily because all I want to do is just swap places or take it away, But I can’t.
“My husband is my inspiration, my hero and I love so much being his wife. In sickness and in health I know and pray that positive things are coming. They have to be, you deeply deserve it.”
She added: “Thanks for the support and patience. It’s been the most difficult time as newlyweds.”
The comments were flooded with kind messages from friends and followers, as one person wrote: “I’m so sorry to hear everything you’ve been through, sending you both so much love.”
“Sending you guys love and strength,” said another.
