A 18-year-old pedestrian died after getting hit by a car in north Durham Thursday evening.
Durham police confirmed that around 6:40 p.m., Iazias Davis was trying to cross Guess Road when he was hit by a Honda Accord that was traveling south in the right-hand lane.
Davis was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Police added that a juvenile passenger in the car was taken to the hospital as well for minor injuries. There were no other reported injuries.
Police did not provide details of the driver and they said no charges are to be filed as the investigation is ongoing.
