EastEnders has unveiled the heart-wrenching fallout from Okie’s demise, with Teddy Mitchell admitting to his murder, despite being blameless.

Loyal viewers of the BBC soap will recall that Okie (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) took Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) captive after he threatened to blow the whistle on Ravi Gulati’s (Aaron Thiara) illicit drug dealings.

Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) was the one who managed to liberate Harry, who then spilled the beans to the police about Okie and Ravi’s criminal activities.

On Tuesday (November 11), Okie confronted Kojo with a knife, demanding to know what he had disclosed to the police, and ordered him to message Harry. When Harry showed up at the flat, a brawl ensued between him and Okie, while Kojo made a dash for safety.

In the heat of the fight, Harry inadvertently stabbed Okie with his own knife, resulting in Okie’s death on the spot, reports OK!.

Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) arrived shortly after, and in an attempt to shield his son from the law, he claimed responsibility for Okie’s death and was subsequently arrested.

On Wednesday (November 12), available on iPlayer, Teddy was interrogated by the police, where he spun a web of lies about the circumstances leading up to Okie’s death.

He narrated that he had gone over to assist Harry, but instead encountered Okie armed with a knife. Teddy then recounted the tale of Harry and Okie’s altercation, substituting himself for his son in the retelling of events.

Nicola (Laura Doddington), Harry, and Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) made their way back to Walford following police questioning, with young Barney left devastated upon learning his father could face imprisonment.

Dawn arrived in Albert Square with Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) resolved to secure justice for his sibling, reaching out to Phil (Steve McFadden) who promised to bring in Ritchie Scott (Sian Webber) to assist Teddy.

Ritchie made her way to the police station to meet with Teddy, delivering the crushing blow that officers had consulted with the Crown Prosecution Service, painting a bleak picture for his future.

Subsequently, an emotional Teddy rang Nicola to inform her he would face charges for Okie’s murder, causing her to drop the phone in shock as the reality hit that her former partner wouldn’t be returning home.
