Real Madrid defender Dean Huijsen has been ruled out of Spain’s match against Georgia after feeling some discomfort on his groin. Huijsen will be getting tests on this potential injury today to determine whether or not he needs to leave Spain’s training camp and return to Valdebebas.
The Spanish defender has had some physical problems this year and he’s trying to regain some confidence and momentum after a very shaky performance against Liverpool at Anfield.
If Huijsen has sustained an actual injury and needs to miss some time, Raúl Asencio will likely start alongside Militao at least the next few games. Considering that Asencio’s form has been solid recently, coach Xabi Alonso should trust him and take a cautious approach with Huijsen’s physical problems.
