Injury status for Jaishawn Barham, others for Michigan Football at Northwestern

The Michigan Wolverines have been dealing with a ton of injuries up and down the roster over the last couple weeks. With the bye week to rest and recover, the hope was the team would be a bit healthier heading into today’s matchup against Northwestern.

However, that isn’t necessarily reflected on today’s injury report. Several key contributors remain out with their respective injuries. Without further ado, here is this week’s injury report.

Good news, bad news: The good news is Jimmy Rolder and Jaishawn Barham aren’t even listed on today’s injury report. Rolder missed the Purdue game, while Barham left that game early, so all is good there. The bad news is Cole Sullivan remains out with the injury he suffered at MSU a few weeks back. It certainly wouldn’t be a surprise to see a bit more of Troy Bowles as Sullivan continues to recover.

No surprise here, but running back Justice Haynes remains out with his foot injury, while safety Rod Moore is continuing to nurse his re-aggravated knee. Jordan Marshall will continue to carry the load at running back, with true freshman Jasper Parker and former walk-on Bryson Kuzdzal being the backups today. At safety, I expect to see more of Mason Curtis — who had the top PFF grade of any safety in college football two weeks ago — Jaden Mangham and Brandyn Hillman.

It’s also unfortunate that Hogan Hansen remains out with his undisclosed injury. Head coach Sherrone Moore said earlier this week that Hansen would be back either this week or next, so it looks like the Wolverines are giving him one more week of rest before potentially returning against Maryland a week from today. Look for Marlin Klein and Zack Marshall to handle things at tight end this afternoon.

Kickoff is set for 12:10 p.m. on FOX.
