Prediction, pick for Kyle Daukaus vs. Gerald Meerschaert at UFC 322

Ryan Wohl details his best bet for Kyle Daukaus vs. Gerald Meerschaert on the UFC 322 Early Prelims.

The final contest of today’s UFC 322 Early Prelims is a Middleweight bout between Kyle Daukaus vs. Gerald Meerschaert. Daukaus is coming off a first-round knockout against Michel Pereira in August. In his first stint in the UFC, Daukaus went 2-4 from 2020 to 2022. But he is now riding a five-fight winning streak. The veteran Meerschaert is making the 58th walk of his career and is trying to avoid his fourth straight defeat.

Here is my prediction for Kyle Daukaus vs. Gerald Meerschaert at UFC 322

Daukaus had his ups and downs in his first tenure in the UFC, but has returned with a newfound aggressiveness. He has recorded back-to-back knockouts and is attempting to increase his win streak to six for the first time since 2020. Meerschaert has been in the UFC since 2016 and has had some great moments over the years in the promotion, but it seems like his best days might be behind him.

In this fight, Kyle Daukaus is a massive -470 favorite with Meerschaert being a +360 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. Daukaus is the better striker on the feet while landing more takedowns on the ground as well.

Since he is nearly a 5/1 favorite, getting Daukaus at -120 to beat Meerschaert by KO/TKO/DQ or submission is my favorite play. In Daukaus’s career, 13 of his 16 wins have been by finish, with seven of his last eight victories coming by knockout or submission.
