Production Begins on HBO’s ‘Harry Potter’ Series at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden

Production has officially begun on the HBO Original ‘Harry Potter’ television series at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK. Set to debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max where available, including upcoming launch markets in Germany, Italy, and the UK, the series marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Wizarding World franchise.
The newly announced cast includes Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander. Behind the camera, HBO has assembled an acclaimed creative team featuring Adriano Goldman as Director of Photography, Cate Hall as Hair and Makeup Designer, Paul Herbert as Stunt Coordinator, Mark Holt as SFX Supervisor, Mara LePere-Schloop as Production Designer, Naomi Moore as Set Decorator, John Nolan as Creature Effects Design Supervisor, Alexis Wajsbrot as VFX Supervisor, and Dom Sidoli as VFX Producer, with Holly Waddington serving as Costume Designer.
The series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner, with Mark Mylod set to executive produce and direct multiple episodes. Produced in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television, the project also counts J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, alongside David Heyman of Heyday Films, among its executive producers. As production gets underway, anticipation continues to build for the return of one of the most beloved worlds in modern storytelling.
