For the past few games, the Montreal Canadiens have been going through a very alarming stretch, creating a really heavy atmosphere that keeps fueling discussions.
Let’s not beat around the bush… the Canadiens are really not doing well these days.
Both goalies are struggling to regain confidence.
In this heavy atmosphere, it looks like Martin St. Louis has finally run out of patience.
He admitted that a long video session took place in an effort to get things back on track. Nothing too special.
But everything went off the rails when a reporter asked him what a video session looks like.
St. Louis answered in a really dry tone:
“It looks like a TV.” – St. Louis
The press room froze. You could feel the discomfort.
A few seconds later, the same reporter asked him what tone he used to lead the meeting.
This time, St-Louis showed he was genuinely irritated:
“Listen, I’m not going to tell you what tone I have. I did my job today.” – MSL
Martin St-Louis, the Montreal Canadiens, and rising frustration
The team is playing poorly these days, and the losses keep coming with no real sign of improvement…
We can see the defense falling apart and the goalies second-guessing themselves.
With injuries continuing to pile up, you can feel it – the tension is high, really high.
And yesterday, Martin St-Louis didn’t even try to hide his irritation anymore.
Moments like this say a lot about the current state of the Habs.
The organization needs to react quickly before everything falls apart.
