Steve Buscemi, Hamish Linklater, Jeff Hiller Set to Guest on ‘Elsbeth’ Season 3 (EXCLUSIVE)

CBS’ “Elsbeth” is lining up more guest stars as Season 3 gets underway, including Steve Buscemi (currently seen in “Wednesday”), Hamish Linklater (“Gen V”) and recent Emmy winner Jeff Hiller (“Somebody Somewhere”).
In “Elsbeth,” which returned for Season 3 on Oct. 12 and airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET, Buscemi will play Simon, described as a “five-time crossword champion and this year’s favorite to win again. An obsessive perfectionist, Simon winds up in a deadly battle with the puzzle’s longtime editor over pop culture clues and a certain female contestant.”
Hiller will play Felix, “one of New York’s big wigs, the top wigmakers in the city. Consigned to creating toupees for Wall Street execs and medical patients, Felix dreams of more glamorous assignments. When his ambition leads to some very bad decisions, one of his rivals ends up dead.”
And Linklater will appear as Archer Bryant, “a tech-entrepreneur turned fitness freak with a quest to live forever. That requires a strict diet, exercise, pharmaceutical, sleep regimen and possibly murder.”
Sounds like a lot of work is in store for Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston), Captain C.W. Wagner (Wendell Pierce) and team. “Elsbeth” is already on Season 3, Episode 6, this week, but don’t worry: This is a network procedural, so there’s much, much more to go.
As for our guests, how do you do, fellow kids, Buscemi is known for “Reservoir Dogs,” “Fargo” and “The Big Lebowski” in film and “Boardwalk Empire,” “Miracle Workers” and “The Sopranos” in TV. He’s currently in Season 2 of Netflix’s “Wednesday” and just wrapped Martin McDonagh’s next film “Wild Horse Nine” for Searchlight.
Besides winning the supporting comedy actor Emmy for “Somebody Somewhere,” Hiller is next in the NBC comedy “Stumble” and the upcoming Apple TV series “Widow’s Bay.” He wrote the memoir “Actress of a Certain Age,” while his one man show “Jeff Hiller is Basic” was recently at at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theatre.
Linklater just wrapped the Netflix thriller “The Whisper Man,” and is currently in the feature “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.” He also earned critical acclaim for his work in Season 2 of Prime Video’s “Gen V.”
