Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Isaac Johnson looked to the hoop against Manhattan Jaspers Terrance Jones during an Outrigger Rainbow Classic men’s basketball game on Friday.

Isaac “Big Fish” Johnson scored 25 points, including 20 in the second half, to power the Hawaii basketball team to an 86-56 rout of Manhattan in tonight’s second round of the Outrigger Rainbow Classic.

A crowd of 2,349 saw the Rainbow Warriors win their second in a row entering today’s final round in Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

Johnson, a 7-foot transfer from Utah State, celebrated each of his four 3-point shots with gestures, including what he has termed a two-armed “Big Fish Chomp.” On one play, Johnson stepped back across the arc to swish a corner 3. He also put down two dunks — one off an Isaac Finlinson missed jumper, another from an Isaiah Kerr lob.

Finlinson contributed 14 points, with 11 coming after the intermission.

Dre Bullock scored nine points, grabbed four rebounds — half off the offensive glass — and added four assists in the first half to help the ’Bows take a 38-24 lead into the intermission.

Bullock hit a 3 and played aggressive defense as the ’Bows held the Jaspers to 32.1% shooting in the first half. The Jaspers had several point-blank looks, but missed the target. The Jaspers failed to connect on their first six layups. They misssed seven of their 11 shots from the low post in the first 20 minutes.

Bullock, who opened on the wing in UH’s three-guard offense, grabbed Kerr’s missed jumper and fed Gytis Nemeiksa, who buried a 3. Later, Bullock soared for an offensive rebound, then scored on a lay-in.

With 5:48 left in the first half, UH starting post Harry Rouhliadeff fell to the court after scoring on a putback. Rouhliadeff landed on his back and was down on the court for about a minute before being helped to the sideline. Rouhliadeff did not play the rest of the game.

Utah Tech 81, Mississippi Valley State 75, 2OT

Forward Ethan Potter scored all eight of Utah Tech’s points in the second overtime to help the Blazers even their record in this three-game tournament.

Potter hit a jumper to break a 73-all tie 34 seconds into the second overtime. After Daniel Mayfield re-tied it at 75 with a jumper, Potter scored the next six points on a layiup and four free throws.

Potter finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds in 42 minutes.
