A birds of prey sanctuary has called for help in locating two of its raptors after they were stolen during a break-in.
The Cornish Birds of Prey Centre CIC at Winnard’s Perch, St Columb Major, has posted on its Facebook page about its two missing birds of prey.
The centre said it was broken into and Arizona, a gyr falcon, and a striated caracara named Caspar, were taken.
In their post, bosses at the attraction and conservation centre said they believed the birds were stolen by someone who “knows the centre inside out”.
They added: “Let’s make these two gorgeous birds too hot to handle and get them back home safe and sound. If anyone saw someone climbing the bank in the early hours, please do get in touch.
“They were parked in the layby, jumped the hedge, went across the paddock to access the centre. The thing that hurts me the most is now my three girls are scared to even venture out into the centre.

The theft happened in the early hours of yesterday morning (Friday, November 14).
Anyone with information about the theft can contact Devon and Cornwall Police or the Cornish Birds of Prey Centre CIC directly.
