Fatalities confirmed following two-car collision near Dundalk

An unconfirmed number of people have died following a road traffic collision in County Louth in the Republic of Ireland.
Gardaí (Irish police) said on Sunday morning that “the vehicles and bodies of the deceased all remain at scene”.
A Garda spokesperson said: “A number of people have also been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.”
The crash, involving two vehicles, happened on the L3168, Ardee Road, in the townland of Gibstown, Dundalk, on Saturday shortly after 21:00 local time, gardaí remain at the scene.
