YouTuber with more than 10M subscribers accused of tax evasion in TN

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A YouTuber with more than 10 million subscribers is facing a charge of tax evasion in Tennessee, according to court documents.
Cody Shane Detwiler, who’s better known as “WhistlinDiesel” on YouTube, was indicted on charges of tax evasion in Williamson County in early November.
According to court documents, the charges stem from a purchase involving a 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo.
The indictment states that Detwiler and WhistlinDiesel, LLC, “did unlawfully and willfully attempt in any manner to evade or defeat any tax due the State of Tennessee in an amount of $500 or more.”
A YouTuber with more than 10 million subscribers is facing a charge of tax evasion in Tennessee, according to court documents.
The YouTuber even posted about his arrest on Instagram with the caption, “Won so big they thought I was cheating. (100% real, not AI).”
