Harry Kane reveals Thomas Tuchel’s telling decision over Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice

Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are quickly becoming two of the best players in Europe, and their new role in the England set-up is quite telling.

Saka and Rice are hoping to create history together this season by winning silverware for both England and Arsenal.

The Gunners’ duo will fancy their chances of winning either the Premier League or Champions League this season, before heading off to the World Cup next summer.

Now, the pair are set to play a key role at the 2026 World Cup for the Three Lions after Harry Kane revealed their new roles within the squad.

Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice named in England’s leadership group

Kane has revealed that Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice have both been named in England’s leadership group.

Saka has already hailed Rice’s leadership, and now both players are set to play important roles under Thomas Tuchel.

The duo have also joined Jude Bellingham and Marc Guehi, alongside Kane, in the group to help lead the new England team.

Speaking about the new set-up, Kane told the Daily Mirror: “We have some newer leaders coming through, rather than some of the guys like Walks and Harry Maguire, who were a big part of the leadership group in the past. We’ve got new ones like Marc and Jude, and Bukayo, Dec obviously.

“So maybe just a bit more added responsibility to help those guys and to lead by example in that way. I just feel in a good moment.”

Saka proved that he is a guaranteed starter for England with a superb goal in the team’s 2-0 win over Serbia on Thursday.

Rice is in the same boat and is likely to play alongside Bellingham and Elliott Anderson in a midfield trident for the Three Lions.

Myles Lewis-Skelly and Eberechi Eze are fighting to make England’s World Cup squad

Myles Lewis-Skelly and Eberechi Eze are the other two Gunners stars fighting to make England’s World Cup squad.

Right now, Lewis-Skelly’s chances look slim, having just missed out on being selected for the latest squad.

Currently, Arteta is against loaning Lewis-Skelly out, but the teenager has yet to make a single start in the Premier League this term, and he could push for a move away.

Just like Saka, Eze also scored for England at Wembley Stadium on Thursday, and he, too, could end up playing an important role for Tuchel’s side.
