Keith Urban returns to social media for the first time since Nicole Kidman divorce bombshell

Keith Urban has kept a low profile since his split from Nicole Kidman made headlines around the world almost two months ago.
But the 58-year-old Aussie singer has returned to social media, sharing his first post on Instagram since the news of their divorce.
Sharing a clip from his new show The Road, a reality competition show to find the next “big” thing in music to support him and Blake Shelton on tour, the musicians looked back on some of their previous looks.

“You know you learn a lot when you’ve been on the road for more than a few years…. especially when it comes to your hair.. right @keithurban??? @theroadcbs #TheRoad,” read the caption of the post shared by both Shelton and Urban.
In the short clip from the show, both Urban and Shelton reflected on some of their looks from their younger years.
“You and I have both been in Nashville since the ’90s and we went through some awkward phases,” Shelton joked before revealing the first pic of Urban.

One image of a young For You singer featured him with some very long, straight blond locks and wearing a rather unique vest.
Urban admitted that was what he looked like when he arrived in the US, and couldn’t understand why he wasn’t getting signed.
Prior to that clip, the Aussie country singer hadn’t shared a post on Instagram since September 27, which was a promotional clip for the reality show.
Just two days later on September 29, news broke that he and Kidman had split, and a day later she officially filed for divorce.
The papers, which have been obtained by several publications, cite the reason for their split as “irreconcilable differences”.
She also asked to be the primary residential parent in the custody agreement as part of their divorce filing, where she will get 306 days with them, while Urban will get 59 days a year.

In the weeks since the news, he has kept a much lower profile than her.
At the time of their marriage ending, Urban was on his High and Alive World Tour and continued to hit the stage.
During one show he went viral due to his reaction to an audience member who was named Nicole, but he’s mainly steered clear from social media.

Meanwhile, Kidman has been busy and clearly not letting the split get in the way of her moving forward.
Her first public appearance was presenting an award just days after the divorce bombshell, but since then she’s attended Paris Fashion Week with their daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, continued to work on filming for the Practical Magic sequel, has been active on social media and more recently made headlines herself at the Sabrina Carpenter concert in Nashville.
The Big Little Lies star was “arrested” by the pop princess for being “too hot” – a cheeky gimmick she does during her shows before performing the hit song Juno.
