Suns-Hawks live updates. Ryan Dunn gets start, has challenge of guarding Hawks rising star

Suns’ Grayson Allen reflects on his career-high scoring game
Grayson Allen scored a career-high 42 points, hitting 10 shots from 3, in the Phoenix Suns’ victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Nov. 10, 2025.
The Phoenix Suns bring a five-game winning streak into the Nov. 16 matchup against the Atlanta Hawks at Mortgage Matchup Center.
The game will be televised on Arizona’s Family Sports (3TV).
The Suns (8-5) are 7-1 in their last eight games, while the Hawks (8-5) have won their last four games.
Grayson Allen is ruled out with a right quad contusion suffered in the first half of the 133-98 home victory on Nov. 13 over the Indiana Pacers.
Jalen Green (right hamstring strain) remains out as he’ll be re-evaluated in four to six weeks.

Dunn gets start, likely matchup vs Hawks star forward
Suns coach Jordan Ott is fully aware of what Hawks forward Jalen Johnson brings to the table.
“Size,” Ott said during Sunday’s pregame availability. “Force. Speed. Ability to play with the basketball. His shooting piece has gotten better.”
With Grayson Allen being out with a right quad contusion, Ott could’ve started Collin Gillespie to pair up with Devin Booker in the backcourt, but he elected to go with Ryan Dunn. At 6-8, Dunn has the size for an initial matchup with Johnson. There will be screens and switches involved that’ll lead to, say, Dillon Brooks or even Booker on Johnson.
Brooks likes a challenge, but Johnson is a handful. Averaging a career-high 21.5 points, Johnson is also delivering 9.6 rebounds, 6.3 assists and shooting 35.5% from 3.
The Suns are starting 7-footer Mark Williams, who is back after missing Thursday’s win over Indiana in the second of a back-to-back. He’ll start along with Royce O’Neale, Brooks, Booker and Dunn.
Jalen Green (right hamstring strain) remains out as he’ll be re-evaluated in four to six weeks.
The Hawks are starting Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Dyson Daniels, Zaccharie Risacher, Onyeka Okongwu and Johnson.
The Booker-Daniels matchup is also an intriguing one. Daniels is one of NBA’s top defenders as he made NBA All-Defensive first team last season, but he’ll draw the assignment of guarding Booker, who is averaging a career-high 28.5 points this season.
