According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac’s long-range outlook, Thanksgiving week across Georgia is expected to start off chilly and sunny before warming up just in time for the holiday, with little chance of rain, and no snow in sight.
Accuweather backs that up, saying the week will be warmer than Thanksgiving itself, but not quite cold enough to snow.
Will it snow in Georgia on Thanksgiving?
Probably not. According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, residents from Gainesville to Savannah can expect clear skies, mild air, and little to no chance of snow anywhere.
Cities including Athens, Macon, Valdosta, and Augusta are all expected to follow the same pattern: sunny, chilly, then turning warm as Thanksgiving approaches.

By Thanksgiving week, temperatures will remain in the 60s until a forecasted drop on Thanksgiving into the 50s for highs and into the 30s for lows. Rain is forecasted to move into the state on Friday, but not quite cold enough for winter precipitation.
