Yellow Alert: A few snow showers Monday morning with a cold wind

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – While most of the region is just dealing with flurries and a cold wind to start the day, local lake effect snow showers continue east and south of Rochester. Amounts will generally be under an inch, but just enough, that some roads may be a bit slick with some snow and ice cover. Use some extra caution driving this morning before the flurries clear up. Threat Tracker will drop back to green later this morning or early afternoon as conditions improve areawide. Gusty winds near 30mph today will keep things feeling cold with the wind chill in the 20s.
Tuesday will feature mainly dry conditions but still some cold weather. Brighter skies on Wednesday and Thursday with some nice weather. Next chance for rain will arrive on Friday with showers into Saturday. Fair weather on Sunday. Looking ahead to next week and Thanksgiving it does not look like any severe winter weather is on the way, but rain may be possible Wed-Thursday.
