Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley ‘replaced’ as Susanna Reid issues update

Good Morning Britain star Richard Madeley has been ‘replaced’ on Monday’s programme (November 17) as Susanna Reid issued an update to viewers.
Instead of being joined by one of her usual co-presenters, Susanna began the show sitting next to Paul Brand in Richard’s “hot seat”, who is the UK editor at ITV News.
In 2022, he also took over as the new presenter of weekly current affairs programme, Tonight.
Why is Richard Madeley not on Good Morning Britain today?
But this morning, Susanna told fans that Richard wouldn’t be live in the GMB studio due to being unwell.
The 54-year-old explained: “Good morning Britain it’s just gone 6 o’clock, welcome to the programme.
“Richard Madeley, due to be on air this morning, little bit poorly, so get well soon Richard watching from home, as Paul Brand takes your hot seat.”
Paul joked: “Good morning, yes get well soon Richard and come and help me out because I don’t know what I’m doing, I’ve never sat next to you [Susanna] before either, so fresh territory for me that’s for sure.”

Susanna jested: “‘What fresh hell is this’, you thought when you got the call.”
Paul replied: “You’ve been very nice to me this morning thank you, gave me a hug when you arrived, I already feel settled in.”
“Not everyone gets a hug on this programme,” Susanna quipped.
Paul, who is also a presenter on LBC radio posted a picture on Instagram alongside GMB star Ranvir Singh last night (November 16).
He shared: “Back on @gmb tomorrow and Tuesday, 6-9am. Not short of news!! See you then. #Monday #Tuesday #gmb.”
