‘SNL’: Josh O’Connor & Ariana Grande To Host In December, Lily Allen & Cher Set As Musical Guests

Saturday Night Live has set its full December lineup.
NBC’s late-night show has set Josh O’Connor and Ariana Grande as hosts, along with Melissa McCarthy, who was announced during Saturday’s show.
O’Connor, who stars in Netflix’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, is making his SNL debut, while Grande will return as host for the third time. O’Connor will host on December 13 with Grande hosting on December 20.
Grande first starred as the musical guest in September 2014, was host and musical guest in March 2016, was musical guest in March 2024 and hosted in October 2024.
The Wicked star will be joined on the Christmas show by Cher, making only her second appearance as a musical guest, more than 35 years ago, in 1987. However, the “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer did also perform at SNL50: The Anniversary Special earlier this year.
O’Connor, meanwhile, will be joined by Lily Allen, who just released her fifth album, ‘West End Girl’, which has been in the headlines for its lyrical content involving the end of her marriage to Stranger Things star David Harbour.
Allen last appeared on SNL in 2007, playing songs “Smile” and “LDN” from her ‘Alright, Still’ record.
