I’m A Celeb star Shona McGarty was engaged to be married before entering the Australian jungle.

David Brack, the former fiance of I’m A Celebrity star Shona McGarty, has ended his social media silence as the soap star joined her fellow campmates in the Australian jungle on Sunday night.
ITV viewers saw Shona embark on a gruesome trial in order to try and earn a lavish way into camp. Sadly, she was unable to complete the task and took a more uncomfortable route which resulted in critters being thrown onto her and other stars.
Despite many already making their predictions on who will win, one celebrity has left fans unimpressed with their antics already.
Shona, who shot to fame at 16 playing Whitney Dean on Albert Square, got engaged last year to David. However, they parted ways a few weeks ago, just before the actress flew off to Australia for the jungle adventure.
Despite their brief engagement, it’s believed the pair split amicably – and David was eager to show his support for Shona, as she made her dramatic entrance parachuting into camp.

On his Instagram Stories, the guitarist posted a charming picture of the ex-couple together, issuing a six-word response, he said “Let’s go girl! You got this.”
News broke just a few weeks ago that Shona and David had ended their whirlwind romance – but there was no animosity.
A source at the time stated, “They are on amicable terms, but have ended their romantic relationship. “There are no hard feelings, they realised they wanted different things and are better off as friends. Shona is now focusing on her music and career.”
Shona and David, who resides in Ireland, met two years ago on TikTok and the former Blessed band member popped the question during a romantic picnic in Kensington, West London, reports the Mirror.

In an exclusive chat with OK!, Shona gushed about the romantic proposal, saying: “David took me to this beautiful Japanese garden because I love Japanese culture and the spirituality of it.
He brought a picnic, which was really sweet. It was lovely, I was in my element but I didn’t think he was going to propose.”
She also shared their wedding plans, stating: “We want to get married in Ireland because I have so much family there, as does David. We’re thinking West Cork, it’s so beautiful and picturesque. We’re both Catholic, so we’d want to get married in a Catholic church and a lot of the churches there are amazing.”
Before finding love with David, Shona – who impressed critics and audiences last year with her role as Jenny in 2:22 A Ghost Story – had relationships with EastEnders co-stars Max Bowden, 30, who played Ben Mitchell, and Matt Lapinskas, 36.
Now, as the show kicks off, she’s confronting one of her biggest fears alongside fellow celebrities such as Ruby Wax, Kelly Brook and Martin Kemp.

Speaking to the Mirror from Australia before entering camp, Shona confessed: “My mental health, my anxiety and my depression has been pretty bad over the last at least four or five years, and that has stopped me from doing a lot of things I have always wanted to. I have kind of come to a point in my life where I do not want to let the anxiety win.”
She further stated: “I mean, even talking to you now, I am very nervous, but it is just something I want to do to challenge myself and to kind of prove to myself that I am bigger than this anxiety.”
