Unbelievable twist in beheading case

Alleged murderer and former Beauty and the Geek contestant Tamika Chesser, who is accused of cutting off her partner’s head in South Australia, is pregnant to an unknown man, reports have revealed.
Ms Chesser has been charged with the murder of her 27-year-old partner Julian Story at their Port Lincoln unit. Police allege Ms Chesser killed Mr Story about midnight on June 17 and removed his head.
On July 31, a dog walker discovered a human skull in the scrub off Slipway Rd on the eastern edge of the town. Ms Chesser is currently being held at psychiatric facility James Nash House.
The Advertiser reports that the 34-year-old is pregnant and is due to give birth early next year. The child’s father is unclear.
Ms Chesser’s case is set to be heard again at Adelaide Magistrates Court in December.
She starred in the second series of the hit reality TV show Beauty and the Geek in 2010, finishing in second place.
She has also worked as a model for a range of brands including Target and appeared in men’s magazines including Ralph and FHM, a profile for her on Star Now states.
The entire case has rocked the town of Port Lincoln.
Mr Story was a Port Lincoln local, while Ms Chesser had only recently moved to the area from Queensland.
Dog walker Tyson McCallum was the one to find Mr Story’s head. He told 9News how dog Benji the Beaglier made the grim discovery.
“I just went in a bit closer and kind of made the connection pretty quickly as to what I thought it was,” he told 9News.
“(It was) pretty surreal to be honest,” he added.
“I was kind of like ‘No way, it’s not what I think it is, surely not’. But it was too coincidental.”
CCTV before arrest
On June 19, Ms Chesser was charged with murder and destroying human remains after police found CCTV footage, allegedly in the hours afterwards, of her walking with a bag, dogs and dressed in heavy clothing.
South Australian Police and SES volunteers fanned out across the town to search for Mr Story’s missing remains, however the search was suspended.
That changed when police announced a dog walker had found Mr Story’s head.
“Preliminary investigations and phone calls to forensic science centre (indicate) the remains are most likely human, and I believe they are the remains of Julian Story,” Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke said.
“To confirm this, those remains will be subject to further testing over the coming days.”
Police have since confirmed the remains are Mr Story’s.
