Rey Mysterio will appear as a special guest at a Lucha Libre AAA television taping on Friday, November 28.
The event, Alianzas, is set to take place in Puebla, Mexico. AAA has billed Mysterio as a “special guest” but has not announced further details about his role on the show.
The WWE Hall of Famer has made multiple appearances for AAA, both live and via video, since WWE acquired the promotion in April. His son, Dominik Mysterio, is the reigning AAA Mega Champion.
This is Mysterio’s second upcoming date for the promotion, as he is also announced for the Guerra de Titanes event on December 20.
Mysterio returned to WWE programming on the November 3 episode of Raw. He had been sidelined for several months with a torn groin injury suffered in April.
The November 28 taping will also feature WWE’s The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed). They are scheduled to challenge Pagano and Psycho Clown for the AAA World Tag Team Championships.
Other matches announced for the Alianzas event include: Dragon Lee vs. Mecha Wolf; El Grande Americano vs. El Hijo de Vikingo; Lola Vice & Faby Apache vs. Flammer & La Hiedra.
