WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR NOV. 17

Existing on damnation’s edge the priest had never known, to witness such a violent show of power overthrown. Angels fighting aimlessly, still dying by the sword, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with commentary welcoming us to the show, followed by the usual montage of talent arriving at the arena.

John Cena makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He soaks in the crowd for a good beat and says New York City makes and breaks careers and he thanks them for it. He says this is bittersweet for some but very important for him, and he wants to take a second to–

He says nobody wants to hear what Cena has to say, and last week he was handed a title shot just like he’s been handed everything else in his career, and he demands his rematch for his Intercontinental Championship.

John says he came to the right building and if you think he’s gonna back down on his last Raw? Hell no. He has to do one thing first, which is ask New York how they feel about it. The crowd is into it, of course, but Dom says no, they’re not doing it Cena’s way again. Instead, they’re gonna do it his way.

“Shut the fuck up!” chants rain down and John says they’re chanting “Choco fun cup!” and to keep it on the air. Dom asks if he’s done, Cena asks if he wants to fight now or now and Mysterio says he wants his rematch at Survivor Series in San Diego, and John accepts, no problem.

But here’s where has a problem– he told the world that he’d have a match tonight, on his last Monday Night Raw, and he sees an opponent right in the middle of the ring, so tonight he wants to forget about the title and focus on the crowd. He’ll put it up in San Diego, but if Dominick has the guts he’ll fight him tonight, one on one, and try to make history.

Enter Dom’s Judgment Day teammates Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

Mysterio says Cena’s not gonna get his match, he’s gonna get his ass beat, and the Judgment Day lads light on him and put boots to him!

But alas, the Celtic Warrior by himself can’t stem the tide and gets overwhelmed as well…

REY MYSTERIO MAKES THE SAVE!

Odds evened, NOW the babyface trio cleans house and puts Judgment Day on the floor. Cena says he has a team and books a trios match for right now!

Or well, after the break.

John Cena, Rey Mysterio, & Sheamus vs. Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, & JD McDonagh)

Back from commercial, match joined in progress, Sheamus getting worked over in the corner. Quick tags, Judgment Day in control, a double lariat opens the door for the Celtic Warrior and he tags Mysterio the Elder in! Boot up, big tijeras, knucklelock and right hands, springboard tijeras sends one of ‘em packing and puts Balor on the second rope… AND DOMINIK TRIPS HIS DAD UP!

Baseball slide from Rey but Finn takes advantage and throws dear ol’ daddy to the floor to send us to break!

Back from commercial, Balor with an inverted headlock elbow drop on Mysterio the Elder, clear the apron, drag Rey into the corner but the lucha legend fights back! Clearing the apron, booting his son, McDonagh runs interference and tags in. Rey wheelbarrows Finn’s skull right into JD’s gentleman’s area!

The path clear, Cena reaching for the tag and he gets it! Off the ropes, shoulder block, shoulder block, fall-forward Blue Thunder Driver, “You can’t see me!”, Five Knuckle Shuffle connects! Fireman’s carry but JD lands on his feet and headbutts John to even the odds! Into a bit of “everybody do something cool,” McDonagh with a diving moonsault, Balor with Coup de Grace, Dominik with a frog splash, all three Judgment Lads pile on for the cover… SHEAMUS AND REY BOTH BREAK IT UP!

Rey puts Mysterio the Younger into the second but his pals save him! Sheamus pulls Finn up, John and Rey do the same to the others, Beats of the Bodhran in triplicate! Babyfaces pull their men in and lay them all out, John puts his hand up, Sheamus switches spots with him, triplicate “You can’t see me!” into Fifteen Knuckles Worth of Shuffle!

Big double 619, Brogue Kick…

John Cena, Rey Mysterio, & Sheamus win by pinfall with an Attitude Adjustment from Cena on JD McDonagh.

We get a recap of SmackDown’s main event.

Backstage, Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce are talking about it when Paul Heyman rolls up.

He realizes they’re angry and apologizes and says what he did with Drew McIntyre was within the rules and regulations and he has great respect for both of them, but if picking Drew for WarGames pissed them off just wait until you see who he’s got for his fifth man.

He presses his contract folder into Pearce’s hands and Adam opens it up and both general managers sigh and roll their eyes. Pearce says it’s gonna be fun sarcastically.

Stephanie Vaquer is walking backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial, we see Eric Andre, Ashley Cooke, and a variety of sporting men who aren’t identified individually for the most part.

We get footage of some of the athletes scuffling with Judgment Day during the break.

Jackie Redmond is in the ring for an interview with Stephanie Vaquer, but before that she tosses to a clip of Nikki Bella attacking Stephanie after she successfully defended her title against Raquel Rodriguez.

Vaquer makes her entrance but Bella appears on the stage and lays her out!

Nikki grabs a microphone and tells Stephanie she didn’t come back to cheer on the sidelines and she definitely didn’t come back to be her sidekick, she came to take her division back and thanks her for reminding her who the hell she is and says she will be giving her a match for the title and she’ll bow down to the woman who changed the entire industry, Nikki Bella.

Bayley runs into Kabuki Warriors backstage.

Asuka says they’re being kind and need a fifth for WarGames, and offers to forget the past if Bayley fights on her team. They all laugh about it and Bayley scoffs and tells her the answer is no.

Lyra Valkyria rolls up after proud of her and excited to really confirm their team together and offers a high five but the Role Model is fronting so Bayley just asks if she’s five and calls her an idiot before storming off.

Solo Sikoa makes his entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Solo Sikoa waits for his mystery opponent…

Dolph Ziggler vs. Solo Sikoa (The Last Time is Now First Round Match)

Ziggler hot out the gates with punches in the corner, Sikoa knocks him down, fireman’s carry, Dolph slips out, big dropkick, Stinger Splash, neckbreaker connects! Heartstopper elbow, drop toehold and Ziggler puts an STF on Solo but he gets right in the ropes and bails to the floor! Diving elbow for two and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Sikoa in control, Ziggler down and out in the corner but he sidesteps the Ode to Rikishi! Uppercut, boot, Dolph comes in with the big DDT and a Fameasser… NO DEAL! Spinning Solo counters a Zig Zag… STILL NO! Ziggler ducks the Samoan Spike, schoolboy for two, bouncing Solo off the corner, Zig Zag… SO CLOSE!

Tuning up the band, Solo blocks the first one but Dolph hits another superkick, Sikoa hangs onto the ropes and spikes him…

Solo Sikoa wins by pinfall with a Samoan Spike.

We get a hype reel for NXT’s Je’Von Evans.

Alexa Bliss is shown walking pensive backstage to send us to break.
