With WWE RAW live from Madison Square Garden tonight and John Cena’s farewell storyline in full swing, fans were bracing for a possible shocker. One name that had the internet speculating all weekend was Joe Hendry. Many believed he could be revealed as Solo Sikoa’s mystery opponent—but that’s not the case.
Despite strong buzz among fans, Hendry isn’t scheduled for tonight’s show. According to Fightful Select, WWE hasn’t made travel arrangements for him to be in NYC, putting to rest any rumors of a surprise return tonight.
“Many had been speculating that Joe Hendry would be Solo Sikoa’s opponent tonight. As of this weekend, he was not scheduled to travel in.”
This comes shortly after Hendry officially signed with WWE following the expiration of his TNA contract. He’s already had several appearances under the WWE banner, including an entrance at WrestleMania earlier this year and multiple appearances on NXT programming—making his growing presence on the roster no surprise.
