John Cena gets his Survivor Series match

WWE promised John Cena would open this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York, and that’s exactly what he did. With just two dates on his schedule following this show, it was clear they would have to book his match for Survivor Series, scheduled for Sat., Nov. 29, 2025 in San Diego, California.
Sure enough, we now know what it will be.
A rematch with Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental championship.
It’s noteworthy that they’re doing this, mostly because it calls into question whether or not Cena will be defending the Intercontinental championship in his final match after all. It’s entirely possible and maybe even likely that he drops the belt right back to Dirty Dom in San Diego, what with The Judgment Day looming large and the lack of need for the title in Cena’s final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in just a few weeks in Washington D.C.
They followed this up by booking a six-man tag team match, with Cena teaming up with Sheamus and Rey Mysterio opposite Dom, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh. The babyface team went over clean in a fun one, with Cena scoring the winning fall over McDonagh, who becomes the answer to a trivia question in defeat.
