Kevin Hart and Nate Smith Go Way Back

The “Night School” actor often told stories of his relationship with Smith, including in his 2010 comedy special, “Seriously Funny.”

“My road manager and I are very close,” Hart began to a roaring audience. “He’s older. We fight a lot, though. It’s kinda like a relationship. He’s been around me for years. He was with me before money even came into the picture. He’s the one scrambling up for me. But when you’re around somebody for so long, naturally you start to butt heads. He then delivered the punchline, “I don’t like the way he sneezes… I never saw nobody catch they breath from a sneeze.”

Smith stayed by Hart’s side throughout his career, and the actor showed his appreciation in 2018 by gifting his friend a vintage car.

“My Road Manager of 12yrs Nate Smith walked into his home and found a nice surprise in his garage. We argue like cats and dogs but ur loyalty has never been in question,” Hart captioned a video of the sweet moment. “I love your old ass man….Thank you for your help in making another tour a major success!!!!”
