Samsung customer dies after Triple Zero failure using old device

The telecommunications regulator is investigating whether TPG Telecom has breached any of its obligations after a customer died on Monday following a failed Triple Zero call on an older Samsung device.
The company said in a statement that Triple Zero services on its network were fully operational at the time and no outages occurred. It added that it had already notified users of older Samsung models to update software to maintain emergency-calling capability.
