Spotify DOWN as hundreds ‘logged out for no reason’ and unable to play favourite tracks

SPOTIFY has gone down for hundreds with customers unable to play their favourite tracks.
More than 400 customers have logged complaints on the Downdetecor website, which measures outages, since 7am this morning.

The reported outages on Spotify this morning
Users are reportedly being logged out for no reason.
The vast majority – 95% – are experiencing problems with the app.
Other issues include streaming audio and accessing the website.
Spotify has issued the following advice to users.

In a statement on X, they said: “Can you follow these steps. Clear cache, uninstall and reinstall the app, and restart your device?“
But one user responded to the message: “Can’t clear the cache if the app won’t even open.”
Another customer posted on X: “I’m having issues with [Spotify’s] app.
“Every time I try to open a podcast the app immediately shuts down on my phone.
“I’ve tried switching off the wifi to the data on my phone, uninstalling the app and reinstalling.”
One angry commuter posted on X: “Spotify being down on my morning commute is diabolical. Fix up.”
Users have also started posting on the Downdetector page. One wrote: “I go to listen to a podcast and it completely closes the app.”
