Is Ryan Williams playing in Bangladesh vs India AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifier?
Ryan Williams will not be playing for India, and he’ll have to wait for his official debut, due to a delay in the completion of the paperwork.
While he played in the friendly against Bhutan, for official matches, he needed a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Football Australia, which arrived very late.
He got his NOC only on November 18, meaning that the team could not register him before the 11:59 pm deadline on November 17.
After the clash against Bangladesh, India will have only one match left in the qualification campaign, hosting Hong Kong, China, on March 31 next year.
India, with no wins in four matches in the Asian Cup qualifiers, is already eliminated from the race to qualify for the 2027 tournament.
