Token will reopen in a new location next month.

The beloved arcade bar shut its doors in Dublin 7 last year due to the cost of living crisis. At the time, the owners said operating costs had simply gotten too high to keep going – despite them often being fully booked up.

But today, Token fans have been left delighted as the bar confirmed they will be reopening in December. Their new premises will be located on Mayor Street Lower in the IFSC.

Token said on social media: “Did you miss us? We’re back after a brief loading screen, in a new location! Revamped menu, even more arcade games, plus karaoke, sports, interactive darts, an outdoor area, and a bigger space in the heart of the IFSC. It’s GAME ON from December 10th.”

In their closing announcement last year, the bar had said: “We may do it all again sometime in the future, but chances are slim and there is no plan to reopen.

“We’ve made amazing memories with our guests and received strong community support both supportive during tough times and sometimes quite critical – but regardless, it felt good to know that people cared about what we were trying to do.”
