While the hype is undeniable, and it seems many gamers genuinely believe Valve will deliver the most historic gaming moment of 2025 – possibly of all time – by the end of this week, the two data miners who have contributed most to the HL3/HLX discussion with their findings and insights urge the community to stay levelheaded and temper their expectations so as not to get disappointed if no announcement comes by November 19.
One of them, Tyler McVicker, reiterated three times that while the HLX project is indeed real, there is currently no known announcement date. The current rumor, he says, is that the game will be announced in 2025, but based on his wording, it seems like even that may easily end up not being the case.
