Top OL Kevin Brown Withdraws PSU Commitment, Available to Flip to WVU

The first step in WVU securing their “big fish” recruit has happened. Top offensive line prospect Kevin Brown officially withdrew his commitment to Penn State on Sunday, per Rivals, making him completely free to complete his expected flip to West Virginia.

A four-star recruit out of Harrisburg High School, Brown committed to Penn State in July of 2024. Brown ending up as a Mountaineer would bring his football journey full circle for his family. His dad played for Rich Rodriguez during his first WVU tenure.

But beyond the legacy connection, it would make sense for West Virginia to try everything imaginable to land Brown.

As a prospect, Brown is rated as the No. 2 Pennsylvania prospect in his class via 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings and a top 10 offensive tackle in the country.

Brown is also expected to visit Ohio State and had offers from major brands like Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Pitt, Syracuse, Tennessee, Wisconsin among others.
