White House press secretary Leavitt said Americans deserve answers on Thomas Crooks

WASHINGTON (TNDD) — White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Americans deserve answers on Thomas Crooks, the man who attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump last year.
Leavitt’s remarks come after reports that hint that Crooks used they/them pronouns and had an obsession with political violence.
“Those questions are definitely deserving of answers and I understand why the public wants those answers, and I believe the president does too,” Leavitt told New York Post reporter Miranda Devine.
Devine was the reporter who reported that Crooks was being publicly supportive of political assassinations online and used they/them pronouns. The Post also reported that Crooks had secret social media accounts that portrayed violent art.
Last week, Tucker Carlson released a report X about Crooks that showed he had a history of writing violent comments on his YouTube account.
In July of 2024, Crooks attempted to assassinate Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
He ended up shooting Trump in the ear, wounded two other Trump supporters at the rally and killed firefighter Corey Comperatore.

According to the New York Post, some unanswered questions about the Trump assassination include whether the FBI knew about his violent online posts or if he acted alone or was in contact with a foreign government.
