The hunt is officially on for Magic: The Gathering players as Wizards of the Coast has announced a massive new crossover with Capcom’s action-RPG franchise Monster Hunter.
The new release is the “Monster Hunter Superdrop,” a collection of four distinct card sets featuring the bravest hunters and most fearsome beasts from the series.
Monster Hunter is a fan favorite thanks to its epic battles against giant creatures, and this collaboration translates those elements into the world of Magic through new art for classic cards.
This Superdrop is unique in that every drop is available in both English and Japanese language options.
Additionally, a special “Surge Foil” treatment, which adds a ripple-style, color-shifting sheen, will be available in specific bundles.

This set focuses on the action of the hunt.
It includes Blind Obedience as “Crimson Moonlight,” Snap as “Kushala Daora’s Fury,” Village Rites as “Song of the Barbarous Beast,” Mizzium Mortars as “The Rage of Yian Garuga,” and Tooth and Nail.

Customers who purchase select bundles will also receive a limited-edition foil Sol Ring promo card featuring art of the “Crimson Glow Valstrax” rocketing through the sky.
There are three structured bundles, which offer significant savings and the exclusive foil Sol Ring promo card.

This bundle is the exclusive source for the rare Surge Foil treatment, containing one Surge Foil copy of all four drops.

It is available separately in either English or Japanese language sets.
- Master Rank Everything Bundle

This is the largest collection, containing two of every non-foil and foil drop (one English set and one Japanese set).
It includes both the English and Japanese Sol Ring promo cards.
The Monster Hunter Superdrop is scheduled to be released on December 1, 2025
The cards will be available exclusively via the official Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair website in limited quantities.
