Hosts Bangladesh secured their second consecutive win in the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup as they defeated a comparatively inexperienced Germany by 57–27 points at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur today.
Bangladesh began their campaign in style on Monday by beating African champions Uganda 42–22.

In their second match, Shraboni Mallik, Brishti Biswas and Smriti Akter kept the opponents contained from the very beginning and continued to collect points through raids.
Within just five minutes, the hosts inflicted the first all-out on Germany, taking a 10–0 lead. In this one-sided match, Bangladesh tested almost all their players. The German girls, who began playing kabaddi in 2023, did manage to put up decent resistance at one stage. Although the Europeans were physically strong, Bangladesh outperformed them with superior technique.
Germany were all-out for the second time in the 10th minute, extending the lead to 22–5.
At halftime, Bangladesh led 28–9.
In the second half, some complacency from the hosts allowed Germany to pick up several points. With six minutes remaining, Germany were all-out for the third time, making the score 43–21.
Bangladesh eventually wrapped up the match 57–27, with the German side suffering one more all-out before the end.
