CSUF Dance Team member dies

Destiny Morris, 19, Cal State Fullerton Dance Team member and student died Nov. 14. The circumstances surrounding her death have not yet been released.
Morris was involved in CSUF’s Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity and CSUF’s student-produced lifestyle magazine, Tusk Magazine.
“Destiny’s smile and laughter truly lit up every room and inspired all of us to carry the same positivity,” Zeta Tau Alpha wrote in a statement posted on their Instagram page.
She was also involved in off-campus dance company By Your Side Dance Studio.
A GoFundMe has been established for her family by By Your Side Dance Studio Owner Deborah Perez.
Perez also stated that there will be a memorial held for Morris at the studio with more information to come at a later time.
“It’s heartbreaking and shocking to lose Destiny. My heart goes out to her family, friends and CSUF community,” Tusk Magazine Adviser Marie Loggia-Kee wrote in an email to the Daily Titan.
The newest edition of Tusk Magazine will be published later this semester and will include work from Morris as a writer and model.
“She had such a sweet and pure soul. She never gave up or quit on anything that was hard,” dance team member Bella Escabedo wrote in a statement released by Titan Athletics. “Her resilience is still carried with each and everyone one of us.”
