Olivia Munn remembers ‘one of the grossest things’ she did in life

Olivia Munn is looking back on a moment she now wishes she could take back, a late-night decision that left her sick for an entire day.
During the Nov. 18 episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, the 45-year-old actress recalled what she now calls “one of the grossest things I’ve ever done in my life.”
She explained that the whole situation started when she was exhausted from work during a stay at the Shangri-La hotel in Vancouver.
The hotel, she noted, had “amazing sushi,” and she was craving both a warm bath and something to eat. “I needed to take a bath, and I also needed to eat,” she said.
So she set her sushi next to the tub while running her bath.
Munn admitted that she got distracted, and by the time she returned, she simply climbed into the bath and began eating the sushi from there.
It didn’t take long for her to realize it was a terrible idea.
The next day, she found herself in the airport gift shop battling severe food poisoning. “I was… just, like, [throwing up] into the trash can from afar,” she shared, acting out the moment as she described feeling suddenly sick.
She believes the problem was leaving her meal beside the hot bath.
“Sushi’s not supposed to be heated by bath water for sure,” she said, even though she remembered it “still cold” when she ate it.
Munn joked that she “hates” herself for revealing the embarrassing story, but she also made it clear that one bad experience hasn’t changed her favourite routine.
“I love a bath. I need a bath. It’s the quiet time,” she said, calling it one of the few moments she gets to truly relax.
