Comedy icon coming to Vancouver for huge show at Rogers Arena | Events

One of the biggest names in comedy is coming to Vancouver as part of his latest arena tour, and the show is happening sooner than you think.
Award-winning comedian Dave Chappelle is performing at Rogers Arena on Sunday, Dec. 7.
The screenwriter, television and film producer, and actor announced a series of arena shows this December, with additional Canadian performances in Calgary and Edmonton.
Tickets for the show go on sale on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at noon.
Netflix is a Joke
Chappelle is a five-time Emmy Award winner who was the 2019 recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humour and the 2025 NAACP President’s Award.
The Chappelle’s Show co-creator and star has earned over 30 nominations and awards for television and film projects, including a Best Comedy Album Grammy for The Dreamer. However, he is no stranger to controversy.
There were widespread calls for Netflix to remove a comedy special after the comedian made jokes directed at the LGBTQ+ community. He had previously been accused of transphobia after referring to himself as a “trans-exclusionary radical feminist.”
No cellphones, cameras, or recording devices will be permitted at the show. Upon arrival, phones and smartwatches will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be unlocked at the end of the show.
Guests do keep their devices with them at all times and can use them in designated Phone-Use Areas within the venue during the event.
Chappelle isn’t the only big name to recently announce a show in Vancouver.
Legendary rockers Foo Fighters announced they are coming to BC Place in 2026 alongside a popular 2000s band.
And Canada’s own rock icons, The Guess Who, will be playing the new Freedom Mobile Arch as part of the 2026 PNE Fair.
