Liam Neeson and Michelle Dockery’s “ridiculously entertaining” thriller lands new UK streaming home

Liam Neeson and Michelle Dockery’s thriller movie Non-Stop has landed a new UK streaming home. First released in 2014, the film focuses on a Federal Air Marshal on board a flight between New York and London.

However, things take a drastic turn when he receives a deadly threat that a passenger will be killed every 20 minutes unless $150 million is transferred into a bank account, with Neeson’s Air Marshal racing against the clock to find the killer.

Fans wanting to catch Non-Stop can now do so via Netflix after the movie was added to the streamer yesterday.

Also starring Julianne Moore, the movie sits at a 62% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 228 reviews, with RogerEbert.com calling it “so ridiculously entertaining in spite of its occasional lapses in real-world logic”.

“For most of its running time, Non-Stop provides breezy, no-nonsense, kitchen-sink entertainment,” added Movie Mezzanine, while NPR suggested that “Neeson does indeed have a very particular set of skills – in elevating the generic action thriller into guilt-free popcorn pleasure”.

“When a film sets out to do nothing but amuse and entertain, you can only take it for what it is and enjoy it as much as you can – but Non-Stop doesn’t quite go the distance,” wrote the London Evening Standard.

In Digital Spy‘s original review, we said: “It’s taut, immersive and rattles along at such pace you barely have time to shove a sweet in your mouth to stop your ears popping.”

Neeson’s movies have a track record of doing well on streaming, with his 2020 film Honest Thief becoming the most watched entry on Netflix when it was added earlier this year. 2022’s Blacklight, which was a flop in cinemas, also proved popular on the platform back in January.

Meanwhile, the star’s 2021 film Ice Road: Vengeance became the most watched movie on Prime Video after being added to the service in September.
