Jets, Lowry agree to 5-year, $25M deal

The Winnipeg Jets and captain Adam Lowry reached an agreement on a new five-year, $25-million contract Wednesday.

Lowry was slated to become an unrestricted free agent this summer at the end of his current five-year, $16.25-million deal.

The center has one goal and two assists over seven games this season after missing the start of the year due to a hip injury.

Lowry has played his entire 12-year career with the Jets, becoming the franchise’s captain in 2023. He has scored 122 goals and has 276 points over 782 games.

The 32-year-old earned down-ballot Selke consideration the past two seasons, racking up 28 goals, 41 assists, 125 blocks, and 321 hits while winning 50.4% of faceoffs over that span.

The new deal kicks in during the 2026-27 season and will run through the 2030-31 campaign.
