Who went home on ‘Survivor 49’? This under-the-radar player was blindsided

Jeff Probst dishes on ‘Survivor’ favorites at 2025 Emmy Awards
Jeff Probst shares his current favorite “Survivor” contestants and reflects on 25 years of hosting at the 2025 Emmy Awards.
Playing both sides on “Survivor” is great in theory until both sides start talking to each other.
That strategy led to one castaway’s downfall in the Wednesday, Nov. 19 episode of the reality competition series, where players vote each other out while surviving on an island.
While the Season 49 merge started as a Hina vs Uli tribe war, the latest vote proved the game is far more fluid. After Michelle “MC” Chukwujekwu was voted out last week, several contestants were visibly shocked that (yellow) Sophie Segreti stayed in the game, a reaction that rubbed her the wrong way.
Meanwhile (blue) Sophi Balerdi, Rizo Velovic and Savannah Louie continue to play from the bottom with several advantages up their sleeves, including an extra vote, immunity idol and a “knowledge is power.”
Here’s who went home in tonight’s episode.
Who was voted out on ‘Survivor’?
Washington political communications director Alex Moore, 27, became the third member of the jury after he was blindsided with six votes against him.
The Illinois native’s allies, Steven Ramm and Kristina Mills, were also blindsided as they both voted for (blue) Sophi, while Alex gave the sole vote toward his target, Rizo. Rizo led the charge against Alex after clocking that he was efficient working with the conflicting alliances.
This strategy has previously worked for players entering the merge from a disaster tribe.
“I can’t say I’m surprised, honestly. I was a little too loose of the lips and that’s why I’m sitting here,” Alex said in his exit interview. “I know everyone at home calls me a softie, but I killed two chickens. I brought home four fish for my tribe, and so I’m a lot tougher than I might think I am. And I know I’m a stronger person because of being out here.”
Alex’s exit makes (blue) Sophi the sole remaining member of the infamous Kele tribe, who lost three immunity challenges and had one player medically evacuated after a snake bite.
